June 3, 2017 (HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA) – The London Lightning defeated the Halifax Hurricanes 117-95 Saturday night to take game five of the NBL Finals.
The Lightning now lead the series 3-2 and are just one win away from another NBL Canada title.
Kyle Johnson had an outstanding game scoring 27 points, 6 of which were from the three point range. Royce White recorded another double-double, scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists.
“It was a must win tonight and we wanted to come home 3-2 so we played accordingly. I’m just happy to be a part of this team.” Said Johnson.
The series will now return to London for game 6 and game 7 if needed.
Monday’s game is sure to be the biggest game of the year as the Lightning could win the NBL Canada championship.
