Lightning welcome Maurice Bolden back to London
April 11, 2017 (LONDON, ONTARIO) – The London Lightning have placed Julian Boyd on injured reserve and signed Maurice Bolden as his injured reserve designate.
Bolden is a 6’10” forward from Jackson, Mississippi who played collegiately at Southern Mississippi. Bolden previously played for the London Lightning and the Windsor Express and most recently for the Austin Spurs in the NBA Development League.
“Mo has always been a fan favourite, a great basketball player and an even better human being. We are very pleased to have him back in London.” said owner- general manager Vito Frijia.
The Lightning acquired the rights to Bolden in a trade for Warren Ward to the Windsor Express.
Bolden will play in tomorrow night’s game against the Saint John Riptide. Tip-off is 7:00 p.m.
