The London Lightning defeated the Orangeville A’s 130-140 Sunday afternoon at the Athlete Institute.

The Lightning now stand at 25-4.

“It was a good win. We faced some adversity with players in foul trouble and they caught a bunch of bounces. We just kept fighting and executed down the stretch.”  said head coach Kyle Julius. “The last three or four minutes we’ve been winning the last five or six games. When you win under pressure in the last five or so minutes it shows toughness, grit and resolve.”

Ryan Anderson led all scorers with 35 points.

“We had a great week of practice so we came out prepared. We knew we had to be aggressive because the teams are fighting for playoff positions and we want to improve our record too, so coming out and playing our best is always the plan.” said Anderson.

Garrett Williamson had 21 points and Julian Boyd added 18 points and 8 rebounds.

The Lightning play their next game at home against the Windsor Express on Saturday, April 1.

Tickets are on sale through the Budweiser Gardens Box Office. Tip-off is 7:00 p.m.
