The London Lightning will be without Royce White for the first time this season on Saturday when they host the Windsor Express at Budweiser Gardens.
The dominating forward has returned home to Minnesota to deal with family issues. It is not known when he will return to the team.
White’s absence will certainly be felt on and off the court as the early MVP candidate leads the Bolts in 19ppg and 8apg. That being said, with home-court advantage all but sealed, it could give Coach Kyle Julius a chance to experiment a bit. White is joined by Ryan Anderson as the only Bolts to start every game this season.
Heading into the final month of the season, the Express appear to be pulling ahead in the battle for second place in the Central Divison. Head Coach Bill Jones seems to finally have his squad in place, with NBLC vets DeAndre Thomas, Darren Duncan, and Tony Bennett all settled in after joining the team mid-season.
The Express have won seven of their last eight games, including a two-for-three Atlantic Divison road trip that wrapped up on Thursday. If anything, the Express will have to be worried about their energy levels coming off an 113-105 OT win in Charlottetown just two days ago.
Tip-off has been set for 7pm. Watch the game below or follow along on our Twitter feed.
