The London Lightning (34-5) will finish off a historic regular season on Sunday afternoon with the opponent they will face in the first round of the playoffs, the Orangeville A’s.

The A’s secured the fourth and final playoff spot in the Central Division with a tight 104-103 win over the fifth-place Niagara River Lions on Saturday. Had they lost, the A’s would have set up a do-or-die game on Sunday.

Orangeville has arguably been the toughest opponent for the Bolts this season, despite holding a 5-1 advantage in the season series. The A’s have had several good games against the Lightning, even holding a rare halftime lead at Budweiser Gardens on March 20. London won that game 99-93.

The A’s now have a weapon that was missing from that game — Justin Moss. The team’s leading scorer, a dynamic post player with lots of power and finish, had missed nearly half the season due to injury. He has played in four games since making his mid-April return, averaging 15ppg.

The Bolts will also welcome hockey legend Paul Henderson to the game to launch his “Victory 45” campaign, which will celebrate the accomplishments of the 1972 Summit Series and the “Goal of the Century”.

Tip-off has been set for 2 p.m. Watch the game below or follow along on our Twitter feed.
