The red-hot London Lightning will be going for their eighth win in a row on Tuesday in St. Catharines against their rivals, the Niagara River Lions.

All eyes will be on London’s Kyle Johnson. The reigning Central Division Player of the Week is coming off of a franchise record and career-high 51 points in the Lightning’s win over Moncton on Saturday.

These two teams have enjoyed a series of competitive and cagey affairs early this season. Despite the close games and scrappy moments, the Lightning have enjoyed a 4-1 advantage over the second-year NBLC franchise this season.

Niagara come into Tuesday’s game after splitting a pair of games on the weekend against Windsor (94-88 W) and Oraneville¬†(105-88 L).

With NBLC MVP Logan Stutz on the injured¬†reserve, the River Lions’ offense has continued to struggle. Grace Lokole’s side is averaging only 96.17 ppg through 14 games, which is second-last in the league.

These two teams will meet again at the Meridan Centre on Thursday.

Tip-off has been set for 7 p.m. You can watch the game below or follow along on our Twitter feed.
