Charges dropped, suspensions lifted for Capers and Black

March 13, 2017 (LONDON, ONTARIO) –Charges against Marcus Capers and Taylor Black, stemming from an incident back in December, have been dropped after the pair completed an accountability program.

“We’re happy this situation has been resolved so that Marcus and Taylor can move forward with their lives.” said owner-GM Vito Frijia.

The National Basketball League of Canada also announced today that they suspensions against the two have also been lifted and issued the following statement:

“We are pleased for both young men that they no longer face any concerns with the law.  Our hope is that this incident will serve as a lesson for all of our players to be aware of their surroundings and make appropriate judgements around the opportunities that celebrity brings with it.  We welcome both young men back to the league.”

The Lightning have activated Capers and he will play in Thursday’s game at home against the KW Titans.
